Miles Posted February 21, 2013 #1 Posted February 21, 2013 I have a friend that just bought a 2012 Wing, and he wants to trike it. He also has a 2009 Wing that he rides, but he wanted to add a trike to his stable. Question...without starting a pizzing contest about who has the best trike...for those of you that currently own a trike, or have recently owned a trike, which trike company would you AVOID ??????? If you own a GL-1800 Wing trike...and could do it all over again...which trike company would you go to...instead of the one you already have ????? Thanks,
utadventure Posted February 21, 2013 #2 Posted February 21, 2013 I don't have a trike but have many friends that do. They all seems to enjoy a site called triketalk.com, you'll probably get some great feedback from the folks on there. Dave

Cougar Posted February 21, 2013 #4 Posted February 21, 2013 http://www.triketalk.com/forum/ I wouldn't change a thing and I won't go back to two wheels as well ever do to medical conditions. I also do not think we would have a pissing contest as well It's all in the $$Bucks$$ my friend on what he wants to do and what brand he decides on.
Carbon_One Posted February 21, 2013 #5 Posted February 21, 2013 I can't say which to avoid but as suggested check out triktalk.com. All makes and models are covered as to both trike manufactures and bikes themselves. In my experince with the Yamaha RSV trikes Tri-Wing and Hannigan are your only choices. Having had both I prefer the Hannigan due to smoother, more stable ride due to it being wider and lower with independent suspension opposed to Tri-Wings solid axle setup. On the Wings I've seen good reports about Roadsmith, CSC, Motor Trike, & Hannigan. I would suggest your friend do a lot of reading & researching of the various companies. Also the installer needs to be checked out as some are better than others. Larry
steamer Posted February 21, 2013 #6 Posted February 21, 2013 Just about all the trike companys make kits for the wing. There all pretty good. It's all about what you friend whats and how much $$ he wants to spend. I would probably stay away from the do it your self kits. Have him check out Motor Trike, they've been around a long time and make a nice rig.
bongobobny Posted February 21, 2013 #8 Posted February 21, 2013 California Sidecar is also a popular conversion for Wings. It's the one the factory used...
Cougar Posted February 21, 2013 #10 Posted February 21, 2013 Yeah for sure the RED one's (pissing match)
Yammer Dan Posted February 22, 2013 #11 Posted February 22, 2013 (edited) Them redheads are something...........OOPs I didn't say that out loud did I....... They are something just what I'm not too sure about.... I also know nothing about the trikes... Edited February 22, 2013 by Yammer Dan
friesman Posted February 22, 2013 #12 Posted February 22, 2013 If I was looking for trike I think I would give these guys a good look. its different but you can still lean like you can with a 2 wheeler bike! Ive been watching the reviews for about a year and so far they look like they have a great product. http://www.tiltingmotorworks.com/ more pics and info here- https://www.facebook.com/#!/TiltingMotorWorks?fref=ts Brian

I will call them. They are also about 100 miles north of me. They did set a new world record for land speed of a 3 wheeled motorcycle, riding a Yamaha V-Max trike. Interesting reading. Thanks,
