However it looks like I sent a message from my Motorcycle_1300@yahoo.com account to one of my other accounts. I didn't open the attachment so can't tell you what it was. I only use that e-mail account for messages from this site and craigslist. I am sure it was probably not hijacked from this site, and was more likely someone on craigslist who messed with my email. I have deleted all my contacts for the Motorcycle_1300 account so if you got one from me it should not happen again Don't open any email from me delete it prior to opening Al
pmelah Posted February 21, 2013 #2 Posted February 21, 2013 change your password my yahoo account was hijacked last year i caght as it was happening changed the password and fixed that problem also yahoo sent me an email of the problem hijack to my other email account
SilvrT Posted February 21, 2013 #3 Posted February 21, 2013 Here's a "tip" that many folk don't know about. This is so old that I'm not even sure if it works anymore; however .... Hijackers of email contact lists will try to send an email to everyone on that list. If any one of those fail for one reason or the other, the script stops. Therefore, if you create an email account with the name of 0000000 and an email addy of ooooo@noemail.com, this will be the first contact on your list (zero's for the name and oh's for the addy) and it will fail and thus the hackers script will stop. Now, this "tip" goes way back to the mid 90's when email was becoming popular so I've not researched lately to see if it still is applicable.

PGunn Posted February 21, 2013 #5 Posted February 21, 2013 SilvrT is correct on the address thing just add any name that will end up at the top of the address list that is a dead address or create one @1@no.com and it will stop the script dead in it's tracks you can also use these in the name and it will also stop ir as they are not allowed as the begining character in the user name ; & % + # \

Changed my password deleted all the contacts ( will import them again in a few days. Requested Yahoo block login from outside the USA . Yahoo had flagged this as a possible problem when I checked my account activity, but had not yet notified me Al
