Well, this morning I went and picked up a parts bike that had a bunch of extra stuff. The guy was using the motor for a project and didn't need the rest. He was building a tractor (think larger lawn tractor size) with the motor for tractor pulls. He took the engine & all the parts needed to run it. So I now have all the leftover parts from that. Plus his buddy built one using a '83 bike, so I got some leftovers from that too. Of course gotta have pics or it didn't happen.

Not bad for $150. Plus I got a title for the bike, so in the future it could be re-engined. It is missing the left upper fairing, but most of the rest of the plastic is in better condition than mine. Oh, not shown is a set of mirrors, mufflers, windshield, gauge cowl, engine guards. No, the stuff is not perfect, tho, but it's 30 year old stuff. So there is a lot of "bling" I can add to my bike, I'm going to have fun once it warms up a bit more. Then any extras I will offer up here.

Those aftermarket parts are what got me to buy it. Having extra parts like rims, rotors, calipers, gauges, etc. just sweetened the deal. A titled frame is nice too. As for color, my white bike needed a new coat of paint anyways, who knows what color it'll be for the rally...

Ok, before I get any more PMs, I just want to state that most of the aftermarket goodies I was planning on using. They are what caught my eye and influenced my decision to get the parts bike. My bike has broken or is missing a bunch of stuff, and doesn't have much "bling". I gotta go thru these parts on a nice day (notice that s*** on the ground) and figure what I want off it. So the chrome rotor covers, chrome thingy under the saddle bags, the mirrors, passenger grab bars, whole front end, etc already are claimed for my bike.

I'm sorry if I made it sound like I was putting the whole thing up for grabs, I was just showing off my find. Once I got a list of the leftovers, I'll list it. Again, I'm sorry, I usually don't get good windfalls like this and I was just sooo excited.

Orlin, any extra usuable goodies I'll bring along to the WI MD.
