CaptainJoe Posted February 15, 2013 #2 Posted February 15, 2013 and an asteriod is gonna buzz us in a couple of hours...
Cougar Posted February 15, 2013 #3 Posted February 15, 2013 Yeah, from 1PM to 1:30 PM I hear (CNT). it better not hit my DirecTV SAT ! except this will be on the other side of us I guess.
FreezyRider Posted February 15, 2013 #4 Posted February 15, 2013 Not to worry....As Jimmy Kimmel stated last night, we still have Bruce Willis around in case we need to call him in to handle the meteorite!
usedcyclesales Posted February 15, 2013 #6 Posted February 15, 2013 According to ALL the news reports except the one here ALL the damage was caused by the SONIC BOOM literally shattering windows in a wide area everything else is RUMOR......This I believe. When the Space shuttle landed here in Florida we could here the SONIC BOOM here in Tampa which is over 200 miles from Cape Canaveral. The reason being is that they timed the shuttle to break the sound barrier while it was still high enough not to cause sound damage like the meteor did. The one passing by tonight is about half the size of a football field and 12 stories in Height it's called DA14 it will actually be closer than some of those TV and communication satellites It's a damn shame we couldn't steer that thing some where near IRAN or maybe North Korea's Presidential Palace.

It does make one wonder what the plan would have been if that asteroids path was 18,000 miles to the right.......
usedcyclesales Posted February 15, 2013 #9 Posted February 15, 2013 It does make one wonder what the plan would have been if that asteroids path was 18,000 miles to the right....... From what I've heard it would take out an area the size of the state of Maryland.
Flyinfool Posted February 15, 2013 #10 Posted February 15, 2013 Not to worry....As Jimmy Kimmel stated last night, we still have Bruce Willis around in case we need to call him in to handle the meteorite! But that Bruce Willis died taking out that asteroid. And the shuttles have been decommissioned. From what I've heard it would take out an area the size of the state of Maryland. Glad I'm not near Maryland......
bill in mn Posted February 15, 2013 #11 Posted February 15, 2013 You sure that wasn't just a 1st.Gen. going by.
CaptainJoe Posted February 15, 2013 #12 Posted February 15, 2013 Actually if it took out that bunch in Maryland, it would be doing us a favor...
