Bones158 Posted February 15, 2013 #1 Posted February 15, 2013 Just asking what people are running on there D3K power module. I have a 05 Venture triked by Hannagin.
rmac345 Posted February 15, 2013 #2 Posted February 15, 2013 I believe the recommended settings are Advance curve 3 and the rev limiter set at 6850. I ran my 01 and now my 08 RSV on 3 with the rev limit at 7250 and been very happy with the performance, and no problems. No carb work done. Have done the air box mod with K&N's and running Bub slip ons. Seems to be a great combination.
Bones158 Posted February 15, 2013 Author #3 Posted February 15, 2013 Thanks Rick, is your Venture triked. I bought the bike used and never checked the settings until today. It was set at 5 and 6500. She ran great until lately, hard to start after she was warmed up. Don't think anything was done to it as it still had stock air filters, I added the K&N's a few years back. So today I set it to 3 and 7,000. It sure did start better and ran better. Carbs are synked and the pms screws out slightly. Somewhere I read after triking to drop it to 3 because of the added weight and pulling a trailer.
rmac345 Posted February 15, 2013 #4 Posted February 15, 2013 No...not triked. Have heard of the harder start issue, but not enough to outweigh the added power and torque.

bongobobny Posted February 15, 2013 #6 Posted February 15, 2013 Hey, thanks for that tip! Haven't changed my ignition module yet but it is high on the list of things for 2013...
