Carbon_One Posted February 14, 2013 #1 Posted February 14, 2013 While at Hannigan's last week getting my bike trike converted there was a Blue/Black 07 on the lift next to my bike having been completed earlier. Anyone from here own this one? Larry

TheKid Posted February 14, 2013 #10 Posted February 14, 2013 How much does a Hannigan conversion cost? I just added everything up for a one color (mine is a midnight) with everything it would be ~16,500 USD before Tax That is with reverse, foot fairings, aux fuel, trailer hitch, and steer lite kit.
dacheedah Posted February 14, 2013 #11 Posted February 14, 2013 ouch, makes a tow pac look a lot nicer
Cougar Posted February 14, 2013 #12 Posted February 14, 2013 Worth every penny as well and Carbon-One Aux tank is cheaper and better. THEN in the near future he will have a better priced REVERSE !!

When he gets his reverse done I am sure it will be cheaper as well and a lot of retro trikes will most likely do his. specially if it is easier to install in a garage at home.

seabeetom Posted February 15, 2013 #21 Posted February 15, 2013 I just added everything up for a one color (mine is a midnight) with everything it would be ~16,500 USD before Tax That is with reverse, foot fairings, aux fuel, trailer hitch, and steer lite kit. Where did ya get the reverse?? Hannigan?? How much for that?? My Conversion was about $17500. Steerlite, aux fuel tank, floorboards, ISO grips. I'd not convert again unless it was done by Hannigan. Some of the 'Authorized Installers' are questionable..
Cougar Posted February 15, 2013 #22 Posted February 15, 2013 seabeetom, Hannigan just started adding them last week. I think they have two more sets made now. you have to have it installed by them or a dealer. I called mine and it was going to be about $1600 I will not pay that price. If you have the Hannigan AUX tank you also have to have another modified tank added as well. they didn't think this out to well. I have Larry's AUX tank so one day it wont be a problem being in the way. I am just waiting for Larry to come up with a self install reverse for us one day. HE WILL !!! Jeff Kit about $1100 Labor about $500
bongobobny Posted February 15, 2013 #23 Posted February 15, 2013 Yup!! Me too, waiting on Larry. Next month is modify the front end, install Flanders bars, and install my gas tank...
Cougar Posted February 15, 2013 #24 Posted February 15, 2013 Posted a while back.... Gentlemen (You too Jeff http://www.triketalk.com/forum/images/smilies/grin.gif), Hannigan MotorSports is near the end of the development and testing of a bolt-on Electro-Mechanical Reverse Option for the Yamaha Royal Star Venture. The All New Assembly will be "bullet-proof" and in keeping with tried-tested-& proven HMS design, build, and performance standards and have better speed and power than any existing Unit of similar core design. HMS anticipates it being completed and available for production and retail purchase within the next 30-60 days. It will be available for any new order conversion at that time and forward. It will also be available for retro-fit which will require the Trike to be brought to the Factory at first. The retro-fit will require additional labor and time and some new pieces and parts be added to or swapped-out on the existing Unit. If the existing Trike is outfitted with Aux Fuel Tank, that will need to be replaced with a tank of revised design in order for the Reverse assembly to mount. Pricing will be determined for both Initial Build Option and Retro-Fit soon and will be posted to the HMS web-site and here as well. Hopefully this will help many current and future Clients with their individual needs and desires. Similar Option will be available later on for the BMW K1600 GT/GTL and the Kawasaki 1500/1600 Vulcan/Nomad series as well. No time line or ETA on those as of yet. Stay tuned for updates as they become apparent and available. __________________ http://www.triketalk.com/forum/signaturepics/sigpic6162_8.gif
