dingy Posted February 14, 2013 #1 Posted February 14, 2013 Does anyone know what font is used for the Royal Star badge? My day job entails CAD mechanical design and full usage of a high end 3D printer. I want to print a revised set of tank badges and rename the Hybrid to 'Sylvester'. This will be a match made in cartoon land to Tweety. Gary http://i1007.photobucket.com/albums/af193/gdingy101/IMG_4418_zps17e8ae46.jpg
deepforkriver Posted February 14, 2013 #2 Posted February 14, 2013 Gary, While I do not know the font, I do feel your day job. 32 years in drafting/CAD. And also, Maybe a tweak on the name, SylveSTAR. It's gonna be sweet! Cant wait to see it finished, James

dingy Posted February 14, 2013 Author #7 Posted February 14, 2013 Tweety & Sylvester characters already are on the 83 bike. Gary
Aimhigh Posted February 14, 2013 #8 Posted February 14, 2013 looks a bit like ms copper black italic but i have been known to be wrong just ask the wife In our house you don't usually have to "ask"! I'm just sayin'
dingy Posted February 18, 2013 Author #9 Posted February 18, 2013 Got the logo somewhat laid out in CAD. I have to put some more fillers in to tie all the letters together yet. I have the curvature that is need to match up to the tank in the side profile. Not that I didn't think the SylveSTAR idea wasn't worthy, it would not have been understood by the vast majority of the people I am around with the bike. I couldn't find an exact match for letters, so I traced each one and rearranged them. I didn't have a lower case e or s, so I used the o to make the e, and scaled the capital S for the lowercase one. Made a v out of the y. Gary
