The 1st gens have to have a restrictor plate in them to keep them under 220...:stickpoke:

For the most part that generation of Sprint Cup car are pretty generic body wise. The nose and tail pieces are different. Also alot of times the drive deals like that all use the same motor. They may say one thing on the hood but it could be chevy powered. Depends on what kind of deal they have going. While 173 is fast to the vast majority of us, its hard to imagine they are actually averaging almost 3 mph more when they race, and INCHES apart. no wonder when someone hic-ups it get ugly real fast. Hope you had a good time. My wife got to do the same thing at Disney speedway and her sheet had her laps at 130 plus for like a 1 mile track.
