pprince Posted February 12, 2013 #1 Posted February 12, 2013 What are your suggestions for putting in a decent radio and speakers on my newly purchased 2005 Royal Star Tour Deluxe? eBay is full of $32 systems but are they any good?
bkf88 Posted February 18, 2013 #2 Posted February 18, 2013 Anything that is 32 bucks on ebay has to be junk
pprince Posted February 18, 2013 Author #3 Posted February 18, 2013 So this one at $99 + $18 shipping is ok http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motorcycle-ATV-UTV-Harley-Radio-Stereo-Amplified-FM-/300753832609?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4606534aa1&vxp=mtr but this at $25 including shipping is not ???????????????????????????? http://www.ebay.com/itm/120710032622?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Daitan Posted February 19, 2013 #4 Posted February 19, 2013 I actually added a pioneer cassette deck to my '84, with an amplifier. and I am running 6.5" speakers on the dash. I added my ipod to mix via an adapter cord to the tape deck. I think that most kenwood or pioneer units off ebay, would be just fine to add to your bike. There simple yet durable. and I also got a powered antenna off ebay for like $4 including shipping. That is stream line and out of site, so no need for a 3 foot one off the back of the bike. good luck
cb1313 Posted February 19, 2013 #5 Posted February 19, 2013 Are you looking for a radio or amp and speakers to plug a Ipod/Sat radio ? Cb
dacheedah Posted February 19, 2013 #6 Posted February 19, 2013 Saw a bunch at the Chicago bike show that have speakers that mount on round handlebars and play radio or allow ipod to connect. I think they were in the 99.00 - 250.00 range
pprince Posted February 19, 2013 Author #7 Posted February 19, 2013 I want a radio with speakers and I don't want to pay a fortune. As I illustrated you can pay $99 and get the same radio as the $25. How do I know the $200 are nice enough to justify that much? I bought the $25 and saved myself $92. It is on its way from China
