I've been making my own mix for years. It contains Sea-Foam but cleans better. Was called stupid for using it but screw him. Have been told that you can't unplug carbs if they are completely blocked. OK believe what you want. I haven't pulled a set in a long time.

Dan,

Yooper wanted me to repost your mixture but I couldn't find it and thought a scientific analysis would prove it's about the same as the real stuff. . My Dad and Granpqaused this back when Sea Foam wasn't even readily available in their boats. Use what you want but to each their own. I wouldn't use it every tank but I do almost every other. Stick with whatever you want I'll save money with the same results\, thank you very much.

I should mention my cylinder index is over a hundred and I normally would use 5-7 gallons of sea foam a year @$50 a gallon for sea foam.

I've got a question. After the first dose of Seafoam, or homebrew, how long does it take/or what's the noticable difference? I dosed mine this afternoon and rode it about 25 miles to get it into the carbs and about the only thing I can tell is the exhaust smells different now. It's another one of them "inqiring minds" things.:confused24: (I did notice it wanted to run awfully close to Dodge trucks with Cummins diesels):whistling:
