I am replacing the factory beep beep horn for a much louder horn. Seems that the Stebel is possibly the best from what I have read. Any information and a good place to buy is appreciated please. I have already ordered the wiring and polished mount from Carbon One.

Thank you much,

Fuzzy :thumbsup2:

Dont know the best place to buy but I can tell you, I installed one on my RSV that was on a bike we parted out and I can attest, YOU WILL LOVE IT! You can drop kids to their knees on the sidewalk as you go by if you so desire! Dont ask me how I know....:whistling:

I bought a couple over the years, both still work, both are STEBEL brand.

The one on my RSTD is at least 6 years old. RSV is 2 or 3.

Seems I got them from Biker Hiway: www.bikerhiway.com

Biker Hiway (and Amazon) also sells the China made WOLO Bad Boy, which, if you read the Stebel "disclamer" page, is a knockoff. But the Bad Boy also works, I read that on the internet. I think you can pickup the WOLO Bad Boy in Advance and at Harbor Freight.

I think if you buy a horn direct from China it comes mounted on a knockoff 2013 Venture. Shipping and handling charges may apply.

Stebel Italy brand was unavailable for a while but back in business.

The LOUD horn is great when you needed but also fun to honk goodbye as a group ride is splitting up. Really blasts your friends. Oh, but don't honk it in an enclosed space without warning, scares grandkids.

Thanks everyone. Still looking for the best price. I already have the wiring and bracket on order from Carbon One. A lot of price differences and configurations on line. Did not know it would be this hard to find. Once again, THANKS To All For your help.

Stebel has two chrome horns. One is completely incased in a chrome cover. The other one you can see the black band around the bottom of the horn. Or is it the top? can't remember. But i do know the totally chromed horn will not fit where the original horn is mounted. I know this from experience.

Thanks everyone for all your help. I appreciate the web site and everyone involved here in the Venture Riders family.

I found a Stebel Nautilus dual air horn made in Italy, for $ 67.00 including USPS Priority Shipping. The best buy I could find for the real Stebel, after extensive researching.

I have to admit. I just sprayed mine with "chrome paint" Looks OK to me. I think for those that have the black ones J&P cycles sells a cover or something I seem to remember.

Got a Wolo Bad Boy from J&P Cycles. Not expensive, chrome and LOUD. I love watching the cagers in dreamland drop their I phones and lattes when I hit the horn.

I listened to both on web sites. Both brands are loud and I just liked the Stebel better from what I heard on line. Also seems a lot of people went the Stebel route and had no problems with Carbon_Ones mount and wiring with either brand.

An update about the ordered horn. It is exactly what I was expecting. The real Stebel, made in Italy. the price is fair and shipping was good. I will try to install soon and will put up another update and maybe a video to represent the difference in the sound. Can not do it this week end. I have to work on building some Flag Mounts this week end.

Got the horn installed and I like it. I did all the mounting and wiring. I thought I better try it before completing the mount. I tried it and was disappointed at first. I thought man this is no louder than my stock horn,,,,,:confused24: ,,,Then I thought:sign29: I forgot to hook up the red wire to the battery. So then after hooking up the wire, WOW,,, LOUD. I like it. Did not take the time to do any video though. But I am satisfied and glad I made the change.

Funny, I did the same on my RSTD. I thought I had it all hooked up. My daughter happened into the carport and I said hold your ears. Poooooo was about it. Yep one wire was not on good, we were hearing the pittiful horn in the left cowling. She said, "needs some work" and started to walk off. I saw the wire, plugged it in and GEEZZZ, don't do that in a carport!
