frodotoo Posted February 6, 2013 #1 Posted February 6, 2013 2012 was a great year, bought my first touring bike, made it to Sturgis Rally for the first time and survived, met some great folk there and on the Leaf Lookers ride this past fall. Depressed that winter arrived and couldn't ride anymore, but 2013 just around the corner and looking good. Until this week that is, busted a gut - literally - have to have surgery in a couple of weeks to repair a hernia. Crappy health insurance is gonna cost me over $1K for that. Then last night my '01 Civic my youngest son drives decides to have the tranny crap out. I'm sure the bill for that is gonna reach $2K at a minimum if I decide to get it fixed. :mo money: I've heard that bad things happen in three's? What's next? Better not have anything to do with my Venture or riding!
eusa1 Posted February 6, 2013 #2 Posted February 6, 2013 get your belly button put back together and get ready for the international! and then we can talk about another leaf looker ride! get better soon. mike
sarges46 Posted February 7, 2013 #3 Posted February 7, 2013 Yikes lock the doors....waiting for the third thing can make ya nuts! We do hope for better for you though...truly. Take care.
frodotoo Posted February 22, 2013 Author #4 Posted February 22, 2013 Surgery was a success, fixed two hernias, one the size of a baseball. Gonna have to switch to light beers from now on to prevent a reoccurrence.
