Robby Posted February 4, 2013 #1 Posted February 4, 2013 Saw this hydralic bike jack in local paper. Only $80, if it will work on my bike. 2007 Royal Star Venture. Please take a look and give a opinion! http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-ATVs-snowmobiles-ATV-parts-trailers-accessories-Motorcycle-Atv-Stand-W0QQAdIdZ452199245 Thanks
Beau-Kat Posted February 4, 2013 #2 Posted February 4, 2013 I have that stand. Got it from Sears several years ago. It will work with our bikes, but you have to make an adapter out of hocky pucks, wood, etc. Even doing that, I found that mine still teetered a bit. Someone on here used to make a very nice, substantial adapter out of angle iron, but I don't remember who that was. I have since purchased a pneumatic motorcycle/atv lift table. Hope you find what works for you.
Motorcycle Mike Posted February 4, 2013 #3 Posted February 4, 2013 You will need an adapter as well. Click on the the link http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=62517
Marcarl Posted February 4, 2013 #4 Posted February 4, 2013 That same stand comes on sale at CTC, TCS, or Princess auto for the same cost or less and then is brand new. Carbon One makes an excellent adapter and stand for this setup, well worth the investment.
EagleOne Posted February 5, 2013 #5 Posted February 5, 2013 You will need an adapter as well. Click on the the link http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=62517 Does this adapter work with a Rivco center stand?
Motorcycle Mike Posted February 5, 2013 #6 Posted February 5, 2013 Does this adapter work with a Rivco center stand? Someone who knows better than I will confirm, but I'm almost certain it will not work with the center stand.
Carbon_One Posted February 5, 2013 #7 Posted February 5, 2013 My adapters won't work with any aftermarket center stands but I've been told that they can be easily removed and then use my adapter. Preform the needed work, then reattach the centerstand. Alao I've made several improvements to the adapters since that link Motorcycle Mike has posted. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=3729&title=carbon-one-freestanding-lift-adapter&cat=24 Even thos pics in the ad don't show the upgrades.
