Wow! I should have paid more attention in school. Went cross eyed about halfway through. That really shows the engineering and science behind the CT and MT designs. I'm not sure it will change any darksiders back but I'm definitely staying with the MT as its designed specifically for that application

Lot's of info to absorb there! Still, in spite of all that scientific data, why don't you ever hear of a darksider losing a bead seal during hard cornering ? Given the data presented you'd think it would be somewhat common for a CT to unseat when mounted to a MC wheel.

According to darksiders better braking on the rear.

If I understand the friction part of the report that can't be right?? Really not trying to start anything I am just interested in information

well in strait line breaking it would be better as the area of contact is greater. however in a corner it would be greatly reduced as the footprint would shrink untill you hit the side wall then you get a whole new issue as the side wall is not the same compound.

i can see the appeal of darksiding on a sidecar rig but otherwise just seems like asking for trouble

Ok I'm not a Physicist but the section "friction is independent of contact area" would disprove what is commonly thought on contact area and the adhesion properties would have much more impact on braking. Such as softer or harder compounds. That is if I'm reading correctly
