My friend who has a 2001 2nd Gen asked me to ask you guys a question:

 

He just purchased LA Choppers slip-ons, not the full exhaust. Does he need to do anything to the carbs or timing or anything??

i run the same mufflers and did nothing but slip them on have had no problems i am also running K&N air filters and just received my jet kit from Ivan's Performance today looking forward to more power this summer

From what I have read and also been told, nope. Slide old ones off, put new mufflers on and enjoy. No jetting required.

Thanks guys. I told him he needed to slide the old pipes off and slide a nice 1st Gen onto the new pipes..but he is being stubborn again... :sun:

:cool10:thank you...i'm feelin real good about my new purchase and not needing to re-jet or even do a carb adjustment. Thanks to KIC for starting the question and motivating me to renew my subscription
