af226 Posted January 31, 2013 #1 Posted January 31, 2013 Just looking to ID my exhaust. I love this bike and have been riding it for awhile. I ran into a guy with the same bike only an 84 and he had the stock exhaust. Very nice. I of course started to question what I have. I always try and get as much info as I can. The pipes have no markings that I can see, they do however shine up nice and look great, just wondering the advantage of aftermarket over stock, or if it is just a case of the stock were to bad a shape and these were cheaper?? Do they offer any advantages? Thanks, af226/ Brad.
Yamamike Posted January 31, 2013 #2 Posted January 31, 2013 Look like Bubbs to me...Paysaw has them on his and they sound great!!
Venturous Randy Posted January 31, 2013 #3 Posted January 31, 2013 (edited) Look like Jardines to me. I have had the same Jardines on my bike for about 15 years now and they are still looking good. Can you get a closer picture? RandyA Edited January 31, 2013 by Venturous Randy
Prairiehammer Posted January 31, 2013 #4 Posted January 31, 2013 Hard to tell from your pic, but could be Jardine, Mac or ? Jardines will be marked "Jardine" on muffler. I've got Jardines on my '83. They look different from yours because I cut the downturn off many years ago because I thought the originals were too long for my tastes.
bongobobny Posted January 31, 2013 #5 Posted January 31, 2013 Yah! My first impression was Jardines as well!! Nice but louder than stock. I have a new pair for my '84...
Flyinfool Posted January 31, 2013 #6 Posted January 31, 2013 The reason most people change the mufflers is to make more noise. I prefer silent power.

friesman Posted February 1, 2013 #8 Posted February 1, 2013 they look like the Jardines on my 85, i love the sound under throttle, yet they are fairly quiet at idle.
Snaggletooth Posted February 1, 2013 #9 Posted February 1, 2013 Might be MAC's, could be Jardines. MAC's on mine.
Flyinfool Posted February 1, 2013 #10 Posted February 1, 2013 And blame it on the Cat or Dog I bet The dog eats cats, so I have only a dog to blame.......
af226 Posted February 1, 2013 Author #11 Posted February 1, 2013 I think it may be mac. There are definately no Jardine stamps on them. Just wondering what they were. Thanks. Brad
Pegasus1300 Posted February 1, 2013 #12 Posted February 1, 2013 On the 83-85 series the mufflers tended to rot out along the bottom, the left side especially It was far cheaper to replace with aftermarket then stock.Rivco Hooker Jardine and Mac and Cobra all made slip on mufflers for the Venture, but I don't know who still does today.
