WilCruise Posted February 7, 2008 #26 Posted February 7, 2008 you no i thought about that. we have a place by my house that the local bike-cops go to practice i have met alot of them when thy escort me on big loads. thy all have told me to come over and let them show me some of what thy have to do. It would be like taking the advanced MSf course is what thy told me.But it will also have some extra stuff in with it . most of all it will be all free thanks George C. DO IT FOR SURE! a few skills techniques are the most important safety feature of any bike, especially a big one. Try the "Ride Like a Pro" videos too. Good stuff!
spear Posted February 7, 2008 #27 Posted February 7, 2008 NOT A SPORT BIKE BUT PLENTY OF POWER THIS IS TWO UP AND I LET OUT AT 110 mph GOING UP THE MOUNTAIN. YOU WILL LOVE IT. Mark, That was an awesome little clip. The sound I mean - what pipes you running?
AZSpyder Posted February 8, 2008 #28 Posted February 8, 2008 Don't forget to hit the rev limiter. I was under reving until I went ahead and did it. Mine hits about 42 in 1st and 65 in 2nd. You'll get the sound of the engine at a proper power rpm and the rev limiter will stop you way before damage can be done. Once you get the sound just stay a little under that Jerry

GeorgeS Posted February 19, 2008 #30 Posted February 19, 2008 Its kind of like comparing a big block Chevy to a small block chevy. "Torque, plus Rev's "
brainfart Posted February 20, 2008 #31 Posted February 20, 2008 after 22K on our 07 RSV -half of it 2-up touring - my only complaint is fuel mileage. back-n-forth to work (100 RT - ~70 mph) i get 43 +- on the open road - 2up with the cruise set at 84mph - drops down to ~ 32mpg oooowell
