Aussie Annie Posted January 25, 2013 #2 Posted January 25, 2013 Maybe you could have a maintenance day, after collecting some parts.... then your VR friends could help
Eck Posted January 25, 2013 #4 Posted January 25, 2013 261 miles............4.5 hr ride.... If...I bring my wife it will be around 425 miles and take more than 9 hours:buttkick:
mini-muffin Posted January 25, 2013 #5 Posted January 25, 2013 Glad you got some good news on the bike. I'm sure the guys in TX and anywhere nearby would help out putting it back together again. Margaret

eusa1 Posted January 25, 2013 #7 Posted January 25, 2013 a family friend towed my bike after the wreck he stopped by yesterday to tell me the bike can be fixed and back on the road again but i will have to do that i just cant afford 5 grand to him and a 150k hospital bill do i understand that it's going to take 5k to fix your scooter??
dacheedah Posted January 26, 2013 #8 Posted January 26, 2013 If the 84 took $5000 to fix I would save it as a parts bike and find a good used one . . .
tazmocycle Posted January 27, 2013 #10 Posted January 27, 2013 it's his 98 standard royal star. i have already told him i have several parts he needs and will try to go there if he has a md. just need to find out if it would be ok to work on it while sitting on the beach, drinking a few cold ones and grilling some meat on the grill!!LOL!! always need to have fun when you can. need to get a list of parts and later try to setup a weekend to do it.
