I have the same model of player and mine has a 4G built in memory. I have found over the years that Sony has the longest battery life on their players, mine is good for 30+ hours on 1 charge.

Yeah, that's what I have also. After reading the reports on the mp3 players this one sounded the best.

I received an Apple for Christmas, never opened it up, sold it on Ebay and bought the Sony. Love it, only problem is there is not a lot of accessories for it like the Apple but I can download from many sources besides Itunes.

I don't own an IPOD, but my 12 y.o. does. So I have a question. What's the need to have 5000+ tunes stored on an IPOD or MP3 Player??? It's probably more than most major radio stations have in their library... It would take over 10 days to listen to them one at a time, and heaven help you if you maybe repeated a few favorites. I would think finding tunes in memory would also be a problem. I donno...just curious....:detective:

It is very handy. I have all my cds on the IPOD. I used to have a CD changer on the RSV but then had to decide which cds I wanted to take and etc. With the IPOD, I can choose from my collection anything that I want depending upon the mood that I'm in. I can also create playlists that contain different artists and types of music. I can do that before I leave and don't have to search while I'm on the road. Finding tunes is very easy. You can sort by artist, cd, genre.....etc. I love it.

I have 2GB on my Zumo and that is about all you need for a week-or-two-long motorcycle trip. I suppose the advantage of more would be to have lots of playlists of different types of music.

I have just been loading albums to it I still have to take a few minutes to read the book and then ill load a few playlist once I figure out how to do that. a lot of the stuff i have right now will come out of it as I have everything from Bob Marly to Chris LeDoux and im loving. like Don said it's very easy to do a search by genre, artist, or album you could even search by PoP, Rock, Country, R&B, Ex.

also if I was going somewhere that I wanted to show someone photos such as Familey,Friends,Group, or what ever else I may want; its simple to put them in and take along
