Not yet. I'm afraid to vote for fear it will crap out tomorrow. I did however just replace the fuel filter with one from autozone G4164 type.

Knock on wood. No fuel pump problem on my 05 midnight venture yet. Ignition switch and rear shock replacement, both under warranty before it expired.:fingers-crossed-emo

Why does the Poll specify pump failures and then list filters as the answers?

FWIW: The pump on my bike failed and I replaced it with a Mr Gasket pump for about$40.

Had an incident where the tank was close to empty and the bike started but it didn't idle well and finally quit. Did some checks then finally removed the side covers to see if I was getting fuel to and from the pump. While trying to get lines disconnected I banged the pump and for some reason I turned the key on and the pump clicked several times. Pulled the choke out and hit the start button and she cranked up and idled fine. Have not had a problem since but I have noticed the pump does not click every time the bike has sit over night or even for a few days. This had to be about 10,000 miles ago and I have 52,000 now.

Over 55k and no pump failure yet.

I thought I was having pump issues a few years back and went ahead and purchased the recommended Mr. Gasket pump and hoses from Advance Auto Parts. It's in the saddlebag as a just in case.

My points welded closed around 70K, new points installed about $35.00 been fine for the last few thousand miles. Made a bypass kit and keep it in the saddle bag just in case.
