Mel Posted January 15, 2013 #1 Posted January 15, 2013 I can clearly remember seeing Dot Robinson leading a parade of Motor Maids onto the race track at The Charity Newsies races in Columbus back in the 60's. (Anyone else remember those dare-devil flat-trackers?) Proudly carrying the American Flag, she was dressed in the Motor Maid uniform along with (guessing) about 50 members. Also used to see her occasionally on I-75 heading south (or north) from/to Michigan on her pink Harley Davidson. Just thought it would be fun to remind everyone about some of the history of an activity that we all enjoy. She was inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame, and certainly left an impact on the sport. http://www.motorcyclemuseum.org/halloffame/detail.aspx?RacerID=78
