Miles Posted December 30, 2012 Share #51 Posted December 30, 2012 "I HATE SNOW":buttkick: BigTom,. if you HATE snow so much...why in the world do you live a little east of Buffalo, NY.?????? Not only does Buffalo get lake effect snow, but at your house you get it even worse. Why not move...to a place where the weather suits you? I have lived all over the world, in 30 different states in this country, and in 18 different countries. I live where I do now, because I like the weather. Ship all of your snow over to my house, 3,000 miles away. As for riding sidecar rigs in the snow, we just did the snow ride to hell and back going up to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. I had fun on those BMW sidecar rigs with all studded tires. If it were not for the -30 degree freezing fog in Fairbanks, Alaska, the trip would have been perfect. JohnT Posted December 30, 2012 Share #53 Posted December 30, 2012 John, nothing personal...... "I hate Watertown and SNOW"...... BigTom, no offense taken. Snow is a 4 letter word. Cold sucks. But the other 7 to 9 months are pretty decent here. Don't hate Watertown, but have little or no use for the place. I'm a rural guy in and out. BIG TOM Posted December 30, 2012 Author Share #55 Posted December 30, 2012 BigTom,. if you HATE snow so much...why in the world do you live a little east of Buffalo, NY.?????? BECAUSE this is where my job and family are.. Not only does Buffalo get lake effect snow, but at your house you get it even worse. Yep, you got that right.... Why not move...to a place where the weather suits you? See answer to first question... I have lived all over the world, in 30 different states in this country, and in 18 different countries. Wrench Posted December 30, 2012 Share #56 Posted December 30, 2012 They're talking another "chance" for us for tomorrow night/Tuesday, maybe 3" total. We just had a good dusting by yesterday morning here, but man, it's COLD now. Mid 30 hi's/lows in the teens for the next week, I'm gonna have to keep a fire going in the garage for the Venture!! I did see a guy on a bike in Bardstown on Friday just as the sleet was beginning. I laughed and asked him if he had snow chains for it, and he said, "nope, I'm takin' my a$& to the house". Hopefully it won't be too bad this week, I've got a lot of tanning bed lamps to change this week, and a lot of road time. I love my new job!! Ship all of your snow over to my house, 3,000 miles away. Scientific research has shown that although Big Tom has an adverse feeling towards fluffy white stuff (aka snow) it LOVES Big Tom and would follow him where ever he goes. The Sahara Desert would become a ski resort if Big Tom moved there. Snow is just a second cousin to ice cream. Where there is ice cream, there is Big Tom. Where there is Big Tom, there is snow.. reality is reality... just what it is...
bongobobny Posted December 30, 2012 Share #58 Posted December 30, 2012 Gonna be light snow all day today, but not much accumulation, maybe an inch at most. Cold and yucky! Perfect finish for the Buffaloser Bills...

Given the above stated scientific research, I would ask that BigTom "please" move over to live as my neighbor, so he can bring the snow and ice cream with him. I love snow, and I love ice cream (maybe a little too much). BigTom, I am willing to pay 100 % of all of your moving expenses, and to assist in procurring you a job or equal or better employment than you currently have, if you will move to western Washington, live next door to me (it is out in the country, so you will have a minimum of 5 acres, possibly more), and...bring with you all that snow and ice cream. Scientific research cannot be wrong

BT, it is wetter and more damp in western Oregon, than it is in western Washington. When it rains here...we call it Oregon Mist. You can have more than 5 acres if you want. That is just the minimum. Where I live, up on a hill, the zoning is for a minimum of 5 acres. Some folks have 10 to 100 acrs. And we are all surrounded by a 750 acre Environmental Preserve, called the Hernett Foundation. It circles around the backside of all of our properties. (psst) that is where Bigfoot lives), but don't tell anybody. And...you and I can open our own private ice cream factory, where we make our own ice cream, and we eat all the profits.
