Well, my kisan chargeguard has apparently died. I've had it for 2 or 3 years with no problems on my Venture before it died. I've been installing stuff for the past 2months on Saturdays on my new to me, 05 vstrom, so I've had the bike in my Honda charger.

 

I want an ammeter and voltmeter (digital), but I haven't seen anything out there. What do you guys use to monitor current draw/voltage?

Volt gauge is all I'd use, I have seen amp meters in the past burn up and catch fire.....

Try Dakota Digital they make some really neat stuff but pricey as all heck.

I installed a Datel digital voltmeter about 4 years ago in the right fairing cover. Been in the rain, snow, above 105 temps and well below freezing temps. It's a tough unit.

 

Only a voltmeter but it tells you what you need to know.
