Gary N. Posted December 15, 2012 #1 Posted December 15, 2012 It was a beautiful day here in Canada's southland today so I got out for a nice two hour ride. Mid 40s and sunny with no wind. Probably the last ride for a while.
Phoneman1981 Posted December 15, 2012 #2 Posted December 15, 2012 Good to hear someone is riding. Rather mild in Western Nebraska for this time of year also. Only have time to ride on the weekend.
frankd Posted December 15, 2012 #3 Posted December 15, 2012 I rode yesterday also. I needed a haircut, that's a 15 mile (each way) trip, and the Venture's been griping about not going anywhere for the last 2 weeks, so I gave in and took her out to play. It was 50 degrees, and beautiful. Mother Nature is going to catch up with us sometime though..... Frank D.
sleepy2 Posted December 16, 2012 #4 Posted December 16, 2012 I was also out and about Sat. on the bike. It was pretty nice out!. Met a few other people who were riders but have their bikes in storage.Later on it started to rain so had to put the bike back in the garage till another nice day.Today isn't a nice day as it was pouring on and off all morning.
darthandy Posted December 16, 2012 #5 Posted December 16, 2012 I thought about going out but our city fathers panicked when three snowflakes fell the other day and put down enough salt to supply every fast food restaurant in town for a month! I'm not equipped to carefully spray off the bottom of my bike after a ride through that. Personally, I think that the salt constituted a greater "slipping" hazard than the problem that they were trying to solve with it. Ah well ... liability concerns are frightening things, aren't they? adventurer 08 Posted December 17, 2012 #6 Posted December 17, 2012 I had a chance to get out and ride on Friday it was sunny and 48, a little cool but it was nice being on the bike.
BG Hawks Posted December 17, 2012 #7 Posted December 17, 2012 Yesterday I went for a ride; temperature was 35 and cloudy. Getting ready to put the bike away and wanted to put some fresh gas in. I hate to admit how long it has been since my last ride. Speaking for myself this 2nd Gen sure to ride nice!
etcswjoe Posted December 17, 2012 #8 Posted December 17, 2012 I rode yesterday also. I rode Saturday little overcast but not too bad.
Eddie Posted December 17, 2012 #9 Posted December 17, 2012 I was thinking about getting out but didn't ,does that count ?
BradT Posted December 18, 2012 #10 Posted December 18, 2012 I was thinking about getting out but didn't ,does that count ? Me too not going out to get a clean bike dirty just for a ride. At least not in December. Brad
Gary N. Posted December 18, 2012 Author #11 Posted December 18, 2012 Me too not going out to get a clean bike dirty just for a ride. At least not in December. Brad You forget to put a heated wash bay in that new garage??
Evan Posted December 18, 2012 #12 Posted December 18, 2012 It was a beautiful day here in Canada's southland today so I got out for a nice two hour ride. Mid 40s and sunny with no wind. Probably the last ride for a while. Still quite warm, into the 40's here in Toronto. Plan on riding tomorrow, as it calls for rain today!.
BradT Posted December 19, 2012 #13 Posted December 19, 2012 You forget to put a heated wash bay in that new garage?? Have the floor drain, and the water bib. Soft water is next and then heat but not for a while. Unless Eddy if coming over to install one cheap. Brad
