mini-muffin Posted January 25, 2013 Author #53 Posted January 25, 2013 Yeah Jeff has just the one boot. He actually had to wear it like a splint when he wasn't allowed to put pressure on the foot. Might be why they gave you the one as well.Of course the darn thing weighs a ton. Margaret

muffinman Posted January 28, 2013 #55 Posted January 28, 2013 Well after almost 8 weeks off the scoot I went and stole it back from ADC while he was at work I had to put a string on the shifter shaft to get it in the upper gears but I got a ride in did almost 120 miles this afternoon just running around the area getting my butt reacquainted with the seat. I am working on adding an accesory to the walking boot so I can shift without a string if it works I will post pics so others can use the idea if they have a need Jeff

Years ago I tied string around shifter to upshift. Couldn't get cast under shifter. Could stomp them down OK but string around shifter and other end around gas tank lid on that old Triumph worked fine til I stopped in mud hole and put my cast down. Bottom fell out and doc wasn't too happy when I told him how I done it.
