pktexas Posted December 5, 2012 #1 Posted December 5, 2012 Now for the next 100k. Brought my 05 RSV Midnight on 12-28-08, with 15k on it from PO. It has been a blast riding this past 4 years. Hope to keep it going for 4 more.
Venturous Randy Posted December 5, 2012 #2 Posted December 5, 2012 You are doing good and just getting it broke in. Hope you have many more safe miles to enjoy. RandyA

Mariner Fan Posted December 7, 2012 #8 Posted December 7, 2012 Just curious; what are the things to be concerned about on a Venture with that many miles? I plan on keeping mine for a good long time.

pktexas Posted December 7, 2012 Author #13 Posted December 7, 2012 way to go perry. i'll bet you will break the next 100,000 mile mark in just 2 more years. reguards don c. Don, I don't know about that. Maybe if I was retired. I think I will be replacing some of my parts before I need to replace anything on the Venture. lol Just curious; what are the things to be concerned about on a Venture with that many miles? I plan on keeping mine for a good long time. Not much to be concerned with so far. The bike still runs great, regular maintenance. Keeping an eye on rear drive, some wearing. Great milestone Perry. And the Bike still looks great even with that old man riding her. Keep on ridn'. Thanks Jerry, she takes care of me. Can't ask for anything more.
N3FOL Posted December 7, 2012 #14 Posted December 7, 2012 Impressive amount of miles on the Venture. My RSV has about 32K, but sometimes bad weather gets in the way. Congrats on your high mileage. This tells me the Venture is a very capable bike. Ride Safe.
Barrycuda Posted December 8, 2012 #15 Posted December 8, 2012 Decisions ,decisions..... Wooda couda,,,, on my RSTD but I got the idea of two bikes a few years ago. Right now I got about 91k miles on my RSTD and 43 on my RSV. I'll get there,,,,, just takes longer.
86er Posted December 9, 2012 #16 Posted December 9, 2012 Only on a 1st gen :rotfl::rotfl: I bought my '86 in '04 with 46K on the clock and turned 100 on an '07 trip. Here's a picture of the roll-over. My buddy that was on the side of the road to take a picture of me taking the picture said I went by too fast. Slacker!
Wade 2000 Posted December 9, 2012 #17 Posted December 9, 2012 Awesome! I have around 27000 on my RSV and my ridn bud has 67000 on his RSTD. I guess we got some miles to put down. If only I could ride to work, my 99 Chevy truck has 440,000. Does anyone make a ladder rack for the venture
Dragonslayer Posted December 9, 2012 #18 Posted December 9, 2012 I almost remember when i hit 100k. I quit counting since then.
