AM/FM Switch

My radio is stuck on AM. Won't change to FM. Has anybody else had this problem and how did you fix it ?

Mine was full of problems with those switches. Turned out they needed cleaning.

 

If you disassemble the control unit you will find those buttons are backed by a molded rubber sheet. Under the sheet is a circuit board with switches mounted to it. I sprayed electronics cleaner into each switch and operated it several times while still wet. That cleared up the problems.

 

Someone also had a line on replacement switches. Perhaps something will turn up as the rest of the U.S. gets out of bed.....

Had the same problem gave it a good cleaning and all fixed, gave the tape deck a good cleaning and its working to.

I pulled the unit out and flushed the switch with electrical contact cleaner and now it works as new !
