MiCarl Posted February 17, 2011 #26 Posted February 17, 2011 I took a short ride today. Now I can say I rode a snowmobile and a motorcycle in the same place in the same week.
ragtop69gs Posted February 17, 2011 #27 Posted February 17, 2011 YES I did . Got in a 110 mile ride today. The last one was new years day. Felt good to be out riding again, even if it's only a day or two. Carl, you can't ride snowmobiles in Livonia, can ya ?
MidlifeVenture Posted February 17, 2011 #28 Posted February 17, 2011 Rain rain come today and wash the salt away before the next nice day
zooer Posted February 17, 2011 #29 Posted February 17, 2011 It was only 72 today. I hate this cold stuff. I forced myself to take a 190 mile ride today. Had to stop and remove clothes as I went along. What a pain, it just ain't worth it.
SteveW Posted February 17, 2011 #30 Posted February 17, 2011 Got my gear on and went up to the shop. The weather was great but after I turned the bike around and got ready to go, I found out my new knee just lacked about an inch of bend to be comfortable to ride. So no ride today maybe this weekend. Back to the stationary bike.
ddoggma Posted February 18, 2011 #31 Posted February 18, 2011 I broke her out of the shed today. She fired right up and I went around the block a couple times. I need reg,ins etc. I may sneak in a ride tomorow if I feel lucky. Everything else seems good to go. Almost 70* in Philly on friday.
MiCarl Posted February 18, 2011 #32 Posted February 18, 2011 Carl, you can't ride snowmobiles in Livonia, can ya ? Both rides were in Plymouth. Was real tempting to run the sled down the hill into Hines Park, but I was a bit worried an ambitious LEO might follow the tracks back to the shop.
Eck Posted February 18, 2011 #33 Posted February 18, 2011 I have rode every day this week to work and I am riding tomorrow too..supposed to be 78 degrees and sunny all day.. Infact, I was able to also ride last Saturday and Sunday.. Charleston, SC is kinda nice.....
longrider805 Posted February 18, 2011 #34 Posted February 18, 2011 Great weather here on the third coast, (70's in the day, 50's at night) has been for a week now and looks like its going to hold for at least another five days. Sad thing is spring break is just around the corner, so it should get really crappy as it always does. He he he.............just the facts ma'am, just the facts.
royalstar09 Posted February 18, 2011 #35 Posted February 18, 2011 Been mid 60's last 2 days. Been riding both days
showmebob Posted February 18, 2011 #36 Posted February 18, 2011 Posted onece, see if this works, got about100 miles in today, 70's AH ha, it worked
naturbar Posted February 18, 2011 #37 Posted February 18, 2011 got some seat time in today, temps around 70 here in central N.Carolina.
Art708 Posted February 18, 2011 #38 Posted February 18, 2011 Yep...went riding Monday, Tuesday, and today. Got in about 500 miles this week.
ragtop69gs Posted February 18, 2011 #39 Posted February 18, 2011 Both rides were in Plymouth. Was real tempting to run the sled down the hill into Hines Park, but I was a bit worried an ambitious LEO might follow the tracks back to the shop. You can always bring them out here and run them on the lakes, we sometimes get 100 miles or more and never get more than 10 miles from the house. Were probably only 1/2 an hour from you at most. North to the end of Haggerty and you're almost there.
indianriverjack Posted February 18, 2011 #40 Posted February 18, 2011 Yep, managed to get the Big Black out yesterday here in southeast Ohio and it felt really good, there were several other bikes out, it kind of reminded me of a Mayfly hatch coming off. And that also reminded me that it's time to start getting ready for Trout Fishing over in the West Virginia mountian streams as well. Yes, Yes, Yes. :cool10:
Mike G in SC Posted February 18, 2011 #41 Posted February 18, 2011 So far, this week,,,, Sunday to Beaufort SC (Chocolate Tree) , Monday to work, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thrusday,,, and today too, Friday. Oh, and tomorrow riding to the Beacon in Spartanburg. I call this a good week, especially for February.
Flyinfool Posted February 18, 2011 #42 Posted February 18, 2011 Yup I made it a point to go out to the shed and look at the bike, then looked at the green puddle under it, and then looked at the snowbanks, cried and went back in the house.
ridgway1 Posted February 18, 2011 #43 Posted February 18, 2011 Well yesterday and today has been in the high 60's here in New Jersey. I put on about 75 miles so far maybe alittle more this afternoon. It sure feels good to get out and blow the dust off. Chris
