pick Posted January 27, 2008 #2 Posted January 27, 2008 Well, until I bought my lift adaptor from Carbonone, I used hockey pucks on the corners
1BigDog Posted January 27, 2008 #3 Posted January 27, 2008 Ive been using hockey pucks for years, however, you have to cut a pie shaped piece out of one puck to clear the side stand switch. I also found that the rubber runners on the jack still hit the motor. What I did was to cut the center strip out and leave the four corners on. It gives about 1/4" more clearance.
Guest Popeye Posted January 28, 2008 #4 Posted January 28, 2008 The last time mine was jacked up, it put a nasty rattle in the exhaust collector box. It goes away [for now] when it warms up, but needs replacing.
Squidley Posted January 28, 2008 #5 Posted January 28, 2008 I know folks have used 2X4's and hockey pucks, but Carbon One's lift adapter is the best thing going. His quality is impeccable and the adapter works perfectly...I have one myself and I wouldn't jack my G2 up without one http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/69/cat/7
Roadhand Posted January 28, 2008 #6 Posted January 28, 2008 Carbon One's lift adapter is what I would recommend. I use it to wash, repair, and maintain my bike. I would never jack it up without it. I use the ATV lift from Sears and the two work great.
