kbran Posted November 9, 2012 #1 Posted November 9, 2012 Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk 2 Did something really stupid. Trying to get a cigarette out of my mouth with gloves on and dropped it in my lap. Looked down and when I looked up was in the ditch. I'm ok but my ribs hurt.

bongobobny Posted November 9, 2012 #3 Posted November 9, 2012 Ouch Kenny, OUCH!!! Those cigarettes are gonna kill you someday one way or an other!! Glad you're OK, you probably broke a rib or two. Been there, done that, no fun...
Miles Posted November 9, 2012 #4 Posted November 9, 2012 Those cigarettes are gonna kill you someday one way or an other!! Kenny, very happy you are okay enough to send the message you did. But...those cigarettes are not good for you. Smoking and riding is like drinking and riding, or sleeping and riding. Bad for you. Heal up those ribs.
Eck Posted November 9, 2012 #5 Posted November 9, 2012 Sure glad your still with us my friend. Hurting rib tend to give you the real meaning of what pain is...for days.. Stay away from beans...and dont laugh...
Trader Posted November 9, 2012 #6 Posted November 9, 2012 Glad you are OK. From the picture it looks like it is just the plastic, lights etc. that got demo'ed Is it repairable?
Bubber Posted November 9, 2012 #7 Posted November 9, 2012 (edited) Sorry to hear that you hurt your ride trying to moto-cross. Glad your all right and still on this side of the grass and taking nourishment. Good luck on the fix. Edited November 10, 2012 by Bubber
GolfVenture Posted November 9, 2012 #8 Posted November 9, 2012 Glad you made out Ok. Both you and your 91 VR survived much better than me and my 91 VR. If you need some suggestions on how to get as much as you can from your ins company, PM me for I got $5850.00 for mine. Did all your plastic break?
Marcarl Posted November 9, 2012 #9 Posted November 9, 2012 Not a good thing to drop a butt, specially in that region,, and it also shows that you go where you look,,, ooooopps,,, tough one,,,, heal fast, seems you have some work ahead of you.

Pegasus1300 Posted November 9, 2012 #11 Posted November 9, 2012 I'm sorry Kenny.Breathe easy for awhile and try not to sneeze or listen to any funny stories. It looks like maybe just (yeah right "just")plastic. Are you thinking rebuild yet or have you gotten that far? Sure glad you are still around and it wasn't a diesel you saw when you looked up.
etcswjoe Posted November 9, 2012 #12 Posted November 9, 2012 Glad you are here to tell us about it, go to the doc and get checked out you do not want any surprises later on.
saddlebum Posted November 9, 2012 #13 Posted November 9, 2012 Not a good thing to drop a butt, specially in that region,, and it also shows that you go where you look,,,. Ok that could be misconstrued On a more serious note, did you get checked out sometimes sore ribs can be more than just sore. Other wise glad you could walk away from it. Scary how you can be on full alert 23:59:59 / 7 but forget that one second and something usually happens.
YamaDuck Posted November 9, 2012 #14 Posted November 9, 2012 Glad your in better shape than the bike. Bike looks bad. Could have been a lot worse.
XV1100SE Posted November 9, 2012 #15 Posted November 9, 2012 Glad you are relatively unscathed. Sorry to see the bike in that condition but it can be repaired.

KIC Posted November 9, 2012 #20 Posted November 9, 2012 Glad you are OK. But, next time wreck the 2nd Gen..they are a dime a dozen and easily replaced. The 1st Gen is a prize. Hope you can resurrect it.
BIG TOM Posted November 9, 2012 #21 Posted November 9, 2012 So glad your still with us......the bike can be repaired.....say and extra "thank you" prayer tonight...it could have been much worse....but I'd still have those ribs checked out to make sure you didn't do more damage than you think...hang in there buddy..........
DragonRider Posted November 9, 2012 #22 Posted November 9, 2012 (edited) Glad your ok Kenny, another good reason not to smoke. I guess now would be a good time to institute a new rule. NO SMOKING WHILE RIDING...!!!!! Edited November 9, 2012 by DragonRider
CaptainJoe Posted November 10, 2012 #23 Posted November 10, 2012 Kenny, so Glad you are ok. The ribs will feel a little better after a month but it will take months for them to completely heal. Getting older seems to manifest more distractions. Even thinking about work that has to be done for the day has gotten me into some near misses. Heal quickly, the bike can be fixed.
Aussie Annie Posted November 10, 2012 #24 Posted November 10, 2012 Geez Kenny Thank the Lord you are okay
ddoggma Posted November 10, 2012 #25 Posted November 10, 2012 So glad your not banged up too, bad. god speed.
