I joined up a queue last week figuring its for people who want to vote early...

Half an hour in the queue later comes my turn, and i said i want to vote! Want to exercise my right to vote, and being a good citizen, here i am!

The beautiful lady sets two paper cups in front of me, with some liquid in them, and said " here, you have to drink these to vote"

Now me having hit the senior citizen barrier a few years ago, with my smarts, didn't fall for the trick and hightailed it out of there. There was no way i was going to toxify myself before casting such important vote!:(:no-no-no:

Now when did this silly rule come about? and is there a way of getting around it?:bang head:

One of these days I'm going to remember that Minnesotans have no sense of humor.

Went to the polling station yesterday. There were a few folks in line ahead of me waiting to get verified. Told the woman in front of me that I sure hope it didn't take too long as I had 4 more polling places to get to.

She looked at me, and in all serousness said "You can only vote once."

To which I replied, "That's not what they told me when I voted early in Chicago."

The look on her priceless........ :rotfl:

Din't do much good though. Probably the worst, election day of my entire life, so I

went down to the garage and worked on the Bike today.

Feeling a bit better now. !! :confused24:

GeorgeS, if that was the worst election day of your entire life...then what happens when you find out the results of the governors race? Washington State...for the third time in a row...has still not decided WHO won the governors race. They are still counting mail-in ballots, and at last count Jay Inslee was ahead of Rob McKenna by less than 49,000 votes.

Maybe later today we will find out who our new governor is, and that may...or may not...make your day.
