billmac Posted November 5, 2012 #1 Posted November 5, 2012 Thinking about putting a 1157 LED bulb in the tail light of my 07 RSTD is it worth the $20.00? Will be adding some LED light on the back during the winter just feel you can't have enough lights for people to see.
spike13 Posted November 5, 2012 #2 Posted November 5, 2012 i tried a couple different ones and didnt like them but one was red lights and the other only had lights on the end find one with wrap around white lights or there is a board from custom dynamics i think for $85 with a ton of lights in it
N3FOL Posted November 5, 2012 #3 Posted November 5, 2012 Shop around at http://www.customdynamics.comand you will see better alternatives than an 1157 LED bulb.
eusa1 Posted November 5, 2012 #4 Posted November 5, 2012 Buy the plug and play led boards The bulbs like your getting for 20 bucks are not worth a damn. And not very bright
Snaggletooth Posted November 5, 2012 #5 Posted November 5, 2012 I'm not familiar with the set up of the RSTD tail light but this 1157 Dual Spider light works quite well. If there is room for it. http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/tail-brake-turn/1157-led-bulb-dual-intensity-30-smd-led-spider/818/ Mike
