DragonRider Posted November 4, 2012 #6 Posted November 4, 2012 It will never happen here, I ride year round.........only thing that stops me is ice, and or snow.
N3FOL Posted November 4, 2012 #7 Posted November 4, 2012 Indian summer is bound to happen. There is always Gerbing heated gear. Reconsider and you shall be happy again.
ragtop69gs Posted November 4, 2012 #8 Posted November 4, 2012 The trike is put up, but mine is ready to ride ALL YEAR AROUND
Dano Posted November 4, 2012 #9 Posted November 4, 2012 I won't put mine up till we see if New Years Day is clear enuff (don't matter 'bout cold!) to get the first ride of the year in!!
adventurer 08 Posted November 4, 2012 #10 Posted November 4, 2012 Mine are always gassed up and ready to go, as long as its above 40.
pmelah Posted November 4, 2012 #11 Posted November 4, 2012 The bikes are put away for the winter. you got to be kidding winter don't start till DEC. 21st you need to stop telling yourself its winter
Nemo Posted November 4, 2012 #12 Posted November 4, 2012 That's exactly the way I feel. Mine will be covered before next weekend. Just be sure to hug it for the last time. Sad days ahead for the winter, but we'll appreciate Spring even more, when it does arrive.
pmelah Posted November 4, 2012 #13 Posted November 4, 2012 Mine are always gassed up and ready to go, as long as its above 40. layers layers layers the more layers you have on the colder it can be to ride i will ride in 15F as long as i have layers on and no ice on the ground
rickardracing Posted November 4, 2012 Author #14 Posted November 4, 2012 Indian summer is bound to happen. There is always Gerbing heated gear. Reconsider and you shall be happy again. I have been considering some heated gear. Maybe go down to Iron Pony in Columbus in a few weeks and see what I can pick up for next year. I have problems keeping my fingers warm. Snowmobile gloves are too thick, can't feel the throttle or clutch. I would'nt mind getting some heated gloves and a vest. Bikes are done for this year. If I can find something maybe I will ride later next year.
Dano Posted November 4, 2012 #15 Posted November 4, 2012 Just for the heck of it today I had to run up to the parts shop, put on my stuff and rode up there, it was 45dF and sunny! Enjoyed it so much I brought the looooonnng way back home......
Mariner Fan Posted November 5, 2012 #16 Posted November 5, 2012 I just gassed/seafoamed my bike. Nice enough weather to take a detour home!
Brown Angel Posted November 6, 2012 #17 Posted November 6, 2012 I won't put mine up till we see if New Years Day is clear enuff (don't matter 'bout cold!) to get the first ride of the year in!! we always do the polar bear ride!
Wrench Posted November 6, 2012 #18 Posted November 6, 2012 Before I built my garage mine would probably already be in the basement, and once it got there it stayed til usually late Feb. It was really hard to get a Venture thru a 36" door too!! Now if we get a decent day I'm ready. Supposed to be in the mid-60's here this weekend, and I'm torn between riding and deer hunting for the first time in about 10 years, may try to work in a little of both.
Venturous Randy Posted November 6, 2012 #19 Posted November 6, 2012 Supposed to be in the mid-60's here this weekend, and I'm torn between riding and deer hunting for the first time in about 10 years, may try to work in a little of both. Well, I don't have to make that choice as I am not a deer hunter, but I sure don't mind you getting your limit. I am more afraid of deer getting me. RandyA

I KNOW RIDE THE VENTURE TO THE DEAR STAND then you get the best of both worlds maybe you can get a buck to stand there and admire your RSV since they seem to like bikes hey it sounds good....... in theory
Eck Posted November 6, 2012 #21 Posted November 6, 2012 I wonder if they make a motorcycle heated blanket just for winter storage......hum.......
