Barrycuda Posted December 16, 2013 #26 Posted December 16, 2013 Here is my jack. I am sure you will love this jack from J&S. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/12/16/re6e4u9a.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/12/16/ma6ydybu.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/12/16/tubu7a8y.jpg Thanks so much for the pics. That's what I initially had. It was great but it didn't seem too sturdy and I wasn't sure best place to position without either leaving one end not secure IR the pressure point on bike potentially damaging bike. I guess my question is, where are the "legs"of the jack go under on the bike. Are you using carbon one adapter for the bike? If so where are the proper points to place to keep it sturdy and without harming bike??
N3FOL Posted December 16, 2013 #27 Posted December 16, 2013 Yes. I do have the Carbon One adapter with stands. The bike is stable as long as you center the jack on the adapter. Guaranteed it is stable. Once you've installed the legs on the adapter and lay them on solid ground, the bike is very stable at that point. FYI. The adapter have slots on each corner where you can install the legs - 4 of them.
cagie Posted December 18, 2013 #28 Posted December 18, 2013 And, if you have room in your shop, spend the extra money and get a HF platform lift. $300 with coupon (Rider magazine and elsewhere). They are great. RR I'd ditto this. Had the red craftsman for a few years, never really trusted it especially if the load shifts. Got the HF pneumatic table along with a spider platform lift and it works great. Only thing I changed out was the front wheel chock to a drive in one. Its a bugger to try and balance the bike and tighten the clamp style chock...
