Didn't recognize the title, but sure remember the melody!

It's truly amazing the paths we follow....

This was a bit before my time. But some of the "old times" like, Don, Bubber, Condor and a lot more probably do. :rotfl:

Seems to me that there is that one, or another Ventures song on the Potato Creek DVD that Floyd made way back in '05 when we were just a wee lad of a website

:thumbsup2:

ah yes, the Ventures, one of the Grand Daddies of surf music!! If memory serves me right, the Ventures also did the theme from Hawaii 5 O as well. I also remember their song Perfidia...

Wow, what a really neat video. The four star General can still bang on the drums. It really makes me wonder how many people throughout his military career had any idea he could play the drums or that he was a member of the Venture's band.

You brought a big smile to my face and yes, I did have Venture albums at one time.

At one time, waaayyy back there! I owned every Ventures record available, Even their learn to play guitar and bass records. I still have a couple of them and that "twangy" guitar guy also :thumbsup2:

But I never knew about Babbitt. Thanks for the link.

Greatest hits album is the only cassett that has been played in my venture. My dad used to have an 8-track player in his old cuda, and I grew up on that music....love it!:thumbsup:

And with the number of "incidents" being reported this year, maybe it should become the theme song here as well.....

Remembered that song well, always liked it.

There were several great instrumentals "back then"[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGPG_Y-_BZI]Duane Eddy - Rebel-rouser [/ame]

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j09C8clJaXo]Pipeline - The Chantays[/ame]

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p13yZAjhU0M]Wipe Out[/ame]

To name just a few, do a google on instrumentals of the 1960's, some great listening.

I remember all of these and still have some of them. Got Bill Haley and the Comets Rock around the Clock. I was at a dance when the band started playing some of these oldies. I asked a co worker to dance and to my surprise she knew all of them and could dance to them ( I am 68= she is 34). She explained that they used to dance to them in their gym class.:cool10:
