muffinman Posted January 27, 2008 #1 Posted January 27, 2008 Yes I rode a 2 gen to the shop for one of our members so that the dealer can do the clutch basket and other 30k maint. So the question is did it freeze over in Hotlanta yet Todd? Jeff
Squeeze Posted January 27, 2008 #2 Posted January 27, 2008 Man, i feel soooooooo sorry for you .... :rotf::rotf: as in the frozen Hell Question ... I sincerely don't know ...
BEER30 Posted January 27, 2008 #3 Posted January 27, 2008 Yes I rode a 2 gen to the shop for one of our members so that the dealer can do the clutch basket and other 30k maint. So the question is did it freeze over in Hotlanta yet Todd? Jeff And did ya wear your "Pinkies" to melt the snow in front of you ? BEER30
Blackjack Posted January 27, 2008 #4 Posted January 27, 2008 Hell will only freeze over when you own a 2nd Gen, Jeff, not when you ride one to help someone out! I can personally attest to that since I have recently ridden a 2nd Gen on two occasions and the earth's axis did not budge even a little bit. The Angel of Mercy stuff buys you a pass, in case you didn't know... Terry
Skid Posted January 27, 2008 #5 Posted January 27, 2008 Seem like I remeber seeing that in Vogel too.
BEER30 Posted January 27, 2008 #6 Posted January 27, 2008 Perhaps with the going reputation I am having with kill switch problems on others , cough ...cough .... I should team up with Muffinman . I'll kill them , Muffy rides them to the repair shop . Seems that's the only way he will admit he likes to ride the 2nd Gen's !:rotf: BEER30
bongobobny Posted January 27, 2008 #7 Posted January 27, 2008 Admit it, Jeff, it felt pretty good too, didn't it?!!?
Yammer Dan Posted January 27, 2008 #8 Posted January 27, 2008 No trailers around Jeff?? Did you have to push with your feet??
86er Posted January 27, 2008 #9 Posted January 27, 2008 I wondered why it only got to 40 yesterday but is going to 60 degrees today!?!? I thought it was 'cause I had to work on my truck outside! And I can't ride to the ABATE swap meet today so that I can try to finish brakes, axle oil seals, kingpins and dropping one leaf out of the front springs on the tuck. Blackjack's got it right though, Jeff, the helping hand thing caused the temps to only dip, not freeze over!
FROG MAN Posted January 27, 2008 #10 Posted January 27, 2008 Muffinman rides a second gen every chance he gets.
1BigDog Posted January 27, 2008 #11 Posted January 27, 2008 Muffinman rides a second gen every chance he gets. I dunno......its kinda like a crime seeing him on a 2nd gen. But then again..he does look happy!!
Squeeze Posted January 27, 2008 #12 Posted January 27, 2008 Hey Folks ... what's going on here recently?? Libel and Slander at it's best ?? Is this the Way to show your Disrespect to a fellow Member :no-no-no::no-no-no::no-no-no: :stirthepot::stirthepot::225: :D
muffinman Posted January 27, 2008 Author #13 Posted January 27, 2008 No trailers around Jeff?? Did you have to push with your feet?? Dan I trailered it 255 miles but it was easier to get it off the trailer in the ditch at my house than it would have been at the dealers on a 4 lane highway. That was the Coldest ride on a bike called a Venture at 30 degrees I have ever had. No wonder the second gen riders dont want to ride any distance at temps under 50 degrees they have No wind protection like a First gen.:stirthepot::stirthepot: Thanks BlackJack for standing up for me, Jeff
muffinman Posted January 27, 2008 Author #14 Posted January 27, 2008 Seem like I remeber seeing that in Vogel too. No pics Jeff you know how it is if you have seen one Second gen you have seen them all. Jeff
Blackjack Posted January 28, 2008 #15 Posted January 28, 2008 Thanks BlackJack for standing up for me, Jeff I am proud and honored to "have your back", my friend, anytime! By the way, remember what you told me about 2nd Gens at the Texas Roadhouse when we all met for the SC Meet & Eat? Well, just between you and I, you were absolutely right... Terry
Yammer Dan Posted January 28, 2008 #16 Posted January 28, 2008 That was the Coldest ride on a bike called a Venture at 30 degrees I have ever had. No wonder the second gen riders dont want to ride any distance at temps under 50 degrees they have No wind protection like a First gen.:stirthepot::stirthepo Have looked at them and though about that. One more of the advantages of a 1st Gen. The list goes on and on.......
