Guest tx2sturgis Posted October 15, 2012 #2 Posted October 15, 2012 Anybody recall the Thread of a Very Light Weight Battery about 2LBs. If your talking about a battery for your bike, thats probably the new lithium batteries. Spendy.
GolfVenture Posted October 15, 2012 Author #3 Posted October 15, 2012 Ya Thats the one. Where do I find one
Snaggletooth Posted October 15, 2012 #4 Posted October 15, 2012 Look at the bottom of your billfold. And don't forget to buy the right charger for it to. Not cheap items. I think Dingy did some research on them during the "Tweety" project. Might search some of his old threads on the subject. I can't help ya on the the "where" part. I quit looking when I saw the prices. Mike
Guest tx2sturgis Posted October 15, 2012 #5 Posted October 15, 2012 Motorcycle Superstore has some... But why do you want one?
dingy Posted October 15, 2012 #6 Posted October 15, 2012 http://www.shoraipower.com/ They are not inexpensive, and have reported cold weather low cranking power. If you are just looking to save a few pounds on a 750 pound bike, there have to be better options. I was interested in them due to the size, I ended up putting different coils on bike and mounting an AGM Deka battery on its side where the coils were. Wasn't worth the cost and new technology hi cups that were still being resolved. I needed extra room due to larger air intake box that went on bike. Gary
GolfVenture Posted October 15, 2012 Author #7 Posted October 15, 2012 I was hoping to save some weight. I thought it cost about 175.00. I see that it cost 280.00 Guess I'll pass on it.
