E-Fishin-C Posted January 26, 2008 #1 Posted January 26, 2008 After 10 years of this medication I was taking to calm down my Rheumatiod Arthritis ..It no longer is working. Thus Im now taking a New medication Only one draw Back ...NO ALCOHOL Beverages what so ever:crying: The medication is working and what I went thru last and the beginning of this years I'll give up the drinking Sorry.... Beer30...... Stardog......
Mariner Fan Posted January 26, 2008 #2 Posted January 26, 2008 Seems like most medications work through the liver. Docs will usually tell you to quit drinking if your on them.
Nighthawk II Posted January 26, 2008 #3 Posted January 26, 2008 Don't feel like the Lone Ranger there Charlie. I've been on that kind of meds for the last several years and it's a real bummer. I lived a long time with a cold one in my hand and then all at once it's gone. Took a while to get used to not having one....Sure was rough for a while. It just took a while to figure out that I could still have fun without it. I'm sure that the Family here will give you all the support you could ask for to make the change over to the soft stuff.....

RoadKill Posted January 27, 2008 #13 Posted January 27, 2008 Glad to hear the meds are working. What do they have you on now? I have been on Lodine and Plaquenil for my RA for 4 years now. Seems to do a decent job. Most of my problems seem to occur from my degenerative Arthritis being thrown in on top. I'm sure somewhere down the line is back surgery and shoulder replacement. Regarding the beer, You can handle that. I will NOT drink with you anyday
