Royalstargazer Posted October 13, 2012 #1 Posted October 13, 2012 It doesn't happen all the time, but here goes. I have an '05 RSV. When I use the CB talk button on the left handle bar grip, the CB changes channels. As I sit here, it just hit me to try the passenger talk button and see what happens, so next time I will. If I have the display set to view the radio and push the talk button, the radio changes channels going thru the preset channels. It is happening more frequent now but not all the time. I have had all the connectors apart inside the fairing and under the seat to clean and apply dielectric grease and still have the problem. Any ideas??
etcswjoe Posted October 13, 2012 #2 Posted October 13, 2012 That's a new one on me. Does the TX indicator come one when you hit the push to talk or does it just change channels?

etcswjoe Posted October 13, 2012 #4 Posted October 13, 2012 Have you noticed if the Tx indicator comes on when you push the button to change channels?
Royalstargazer Posted October 13, 2012 Author #5 Posted October 13, 2012 Have you noticed if the Tx indicator comes on when you push the button to change channels? No. Only when ptt button is pushed.
etcswjoe Posted October 13, 2012 #6 Posted October 13, 2012 Rules out what I was thinking, I am going to have to do some digging on this one. Did you try the passenger PTT yet?
Royalstargazer Posted October 14, 2012 Author #7 Posted October 14, 2012 Rules out what I was thinking, I am going to have to do some digging on this one. Did you try the passenger PTT yet? Not yet. Have to wait till the next time it does it.
Royalstargazer Posted October 26, 2012 Author #8 Posted October 26, 2012 Ok, washed the bike today, and it happened again. The station changed when using the ptt for the driver and passenger. So, it appears to be a water related problem.
playboy Posted October 26, 2012 #9 Posted October 26, 2012 I think there is some connections under the passenger seat for the intercom and cb if so they may need the same treatment as those under the fairing.
