SapperMedic Posted October 9, 2012 #1 Posted October 9, 2012 Well I guess when you ask for "Full Coverage" with progressive, that doesn't mean collision. I am out of luck on the bike, It can be saved, but at least $3000 in damage I think.
djh3 Posted October 10, 2012 #2 Posted October 10, 2012 What do ya mean it dont include colision? Check your policy papers. For what I'm paying the ins company better pay or I'm comming loaded up.
SapperMedic Posted October 10, 2012 Author #3 Posted October 10, 2012 they are "reviewing the tapes" from 4 years ago when i got my policy. I could care less about roadside assistance, but fix my bike. BTW I had $3000 in "accessory coverage" but no collision? huh?

I did some comparsions between mine and a few online companies and they didn't save me anything, and ask more questions on what and how to cover a than a injury lawyer in a court room..
ediddy Posted October 10, 2012 #5 Posted October 10, 2012 Hey SapperMedic, Sorry to hear about your loss and am glad you will be ok. I always wonder why anyone would deal directly with a company instead of dealing with a local agent you can see face to face. If there is a problem you can go to the agents office instead of waiting for the company to get the tapes from 4 years ago. The territory manager with progressive was in my office a few weeks ago and we were discussing this. He said the majority of the problems progressive has is with the direct side of the company with inaccurate quotes. The person that gives you the quote knows they will never see or talk to you again. They just need to make a sell so they can keep their job. People call me all the time saying they are trying to quote their coverage on line and want to know what a certain type of coverage is. I tell them to figure it out themselves but if they want someone that knows the coverages and can counsel them to come in the office. If I did buy on line or direct, the first thing I would do is to look over my policy when I received it to make sure I had the coverage I needed. Good luck. I hope you had collison coverage.
ediddy Posted October 10, 2012 #6 Posted October 10, 2012 By the way. You can buy comprehensive only coverage and the $3,000 accessory coverage will pay only if the claim is a comprehensive claim.

Nothing compares to reaching over the desk and choking your agent...:rotf:
ediddy Posted October 10, 2012 #8 Posted October 10, 2012 Hey scarylarry, Is this why they call you scarylarry? The insurance companies I represent require me to carry a minimum of 1 million of errors and omissions insurance and I have to send them proof I renewed the coverage every year. This is required in case I leave off a certain coverage the customer wanted and I didn't provide. I can check a wrong block on an application and be held liable. Agents get sued every day and their E & O coverage pays.
Guest scarylarry Posted October 10, 2012 #9 Posted October 10, 2012 No, me and my agent gets along great been with them over 20 yrs and he rides too... He told me shop and you will beat us in the first 1yr. and after that comes the shell shock..
