Looks like the ticket. Two Wally Worlds, another Auto Zone, another O'Riellys, and a two more NAPA stores and none had what I needed.

This one is a little more money but has the advantage of powering the trailer lights right from the battery so that the wiring on the bike does not have to carry the load of the trailer lights. It also isolates the bike circuits from the trailer circuits so that in the event of a short on the trailer the bike lighting is not affected. It only has one more wire to hook up.

I went ahead an odered the one that M61A1MECH suggested. Figured I'd go with simple and cheap. (plus I found a handfull of other parts I wanted on Amazon while I was looking.) Yea! Free Shipping!!

 

The Hoppy 42655 is probably more than I'd need as with all the lights going to LED there won't be much load on the system. As far as short protection, hoping for the best. I'll try to avoid backing into lake when I pull the boat.

But guys, all of you that had suggestions, thanks much for your advice. Once again the wealth of knowledge here is outstanding.

 

Now the wait for parts......

I found something else yesterday while working on the Tag-Along. Apparently HF provides PolyLock nuts with the kit. I was changing some things on the trailer and when I removed a nut I noticed it was on backwards, as in poly side first.

 

I got to looking closer and found EVERY PolyLock nut was the same way. Installed poly side first.

 

I've bent wrenches for a long time and it cracked me up as from my experience, that ain't easy to do. The PO had to of invested a lot of time and effort to have got them all on.

 

You would think that after fighting the first one the guy might have looked for a easier way. After all..... it's only got two sides right.

 

Found a few other things that apparently he didn't bother to look at the parts diagrams on either. Like the bolts to attach the body to the frame. Bolt, two washers, rubber padding, into the body and through the frame and the nut (poly side first) Stuff like that gets me to chuckling. It's wrong, but it's funny.

I tried to put a lock nut on backwards once on purpose, your right, it is not easy to do.
