twigg Posted October 2, 2012 #2 Posted October 2, 2012 im starting to get cupping on the rear tire any ideas of what to look for to fix :confused24: Wrong tire pressure, poor tire construction or type, knackered rear suspension, swing-arm pivots with too much play. Probably a bunch more. Rule out the obvious and whatever is left is the cause. Not all apparently suitable tires wear the same way.
djh3 Posted October 3, 2012 #5 Posted October 3, 2012 Sometimes tires when they get older just start wearing funny
Peder_y2k Posted October 3, 2012 #6 Posted October 3, 2012 More than you wanted to know about tire wear: http://www.rattlebars.com/tirewear/ -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA '83,88 venture
djh3 Posted October 3, 2012 #7 Posted October 3, 2012 Kind of what I was getting at. As the tire wears and get "thinner" in spots it is more able to move and conform so it wears differently. Thanks for the link, I had read that a couple times before but its nice to review ocasionaly.
