reddevilmedic Posted September 29, 2012 #1 Posted September 29, 2012 Carbon1..Larry...went down today. we were riding a fall color ride with some other members and some hunt-club guys. a 16 y/o boy, on a learners permit, crashed into him. the boy said he didnt see him. he was with his mom. Larry was taken to the hospital. he was concious as he left the scene. trike looks totaled, he must have flipped at least 4-5 times. lets keep him in our prayers.
kyle Posted September 29, 2012 #2 Posted September 29, 2012 damn, we hate to hear that. we'll keep him in our thoughts and prayers. yank the learners permit for at least a year !!!!

Bummer Posted September 29, 2012 #5 Posted September 29, 2012 Thanks for letting us all know. Truly terrible news. Irene and I will be here hoping and praying that Larry isn't badly hurt in spite of the ride he must have taken.
Black Owl Posted September 29, 2012 #6 Posted September 29, 2012 Let me know as soon as possible as to whether he will be in the hospital or at home and I will get a floral arrangement out to him from the SA Fund.
b2dad Posted September 29, 2012 #8 Posted September 29, 2012 Just spoke to Joyce, Larry's wife. He has a broken clavicle and very badly bruised spleen. He will be in the hospital in Traverse City for a few days but should recover ok. They are keeping him sedated right now due to the pain. The bike is definitely totaled. Joyce will post an update later this evening
