2009 RSV headlight

On my in to work this morning my low beam went out everything is okay hi beam and charging..

 

So my question is I have the rubber boot off and bulb unplugged, does that bulb just pull out or does it need to be turn, there is a clip there as well and does that need to be remove...

 

Geez I wish my daughter was here her hands are much smaller...

unhook the clip and the light comes out. you can pick up any h4 headlight. They are real simple to find and replace.

As with many maintenance things there is a post or 2 about this. Just be sure to NOT touch the glass on the new bulbe with your skin. The oils will overheat the glass and it will fail. I suggest the 85/100 watt bulb if you have to change. There are some other bulbs folks like for extra light. I actually swapped to a HID kit and man ots nice. Not much more than a good PIAA bulb.

Thanks already it is done and yes my years of changing bulbs I knew not to touch it as in the ones at work...

 

I went back with the OEM wattage, we had one in stock...

 

Again thanks for the tips and I might kick the wattage up the next time I do it..

 

I just which it was have been easier to get to or my hands was smaller
