Ozlander Posted September 29, 2012 #26 Posted September 29, 2012 Not to worry your head off Dan on how you can pay us all. I am the self appointed treasurer and will handle all the monies owing, so all you need to do is send it to me and I will make sure it gets dealt with promptly. Yeah, send your money to Marcarl, use my address. :whistling:
RSTDdog Posted October 1, 2012 #27 Posted October 1, 2012 All kidding aside, I have to date always been able to find repair advice for various things simply using Google and never had to pay for it. If its a car problem ( or appliance problem, etc), you are not the first one, its happened to someone else, and they have posted or blogged about it in a forum somewhere. With Google you have to remember, the free answers are sometimes several pages in. People Pay money to be on the first couple pages. RSTDdog
Yammer Dan Posted October 1, 2012 Author #28 Posted October 1, 2012 Thanks Dog I'm still collecting info on what has been done to it. Crank sensor replaced and computer reprogramed but guy doing it was using wrong card?? And charged almost 500 bucks and then said "Come and get it I can't fix it" Supposed to be a garage. Does work on county vehicles.
Yammer Dan Posted October 8, 2012 Author #29 Posted October 8, 2012 Computer reprogramed. Crank sensor replaced. Cam sensor replaced. Switch checked. Getting fuel. No spark.
Flyinfool Posted October 9, 2012 #30 Posted October 9, 2012 So at least give us a clue as to what vehicle we are trying to help fix?????? No spark? I assume you checked for spark at the plug. Did you pull the coil wire and check for spark there? Did you check to see if voltage is being sent to the coil? How about the coil ground? Just a start of the normal suspects.
chabicheka Posted October 9, 2012 #31 Posted October 9, 2012 the answer is......SEAFOAM. send money..... Money sent.....by Sea. Go to the sea shore with a big bucket to collect.
Yammer Dan Posted October 9, 2012 Author #32 Posted October 9, 2012 Computer reprogramed. Crank sensor replaced. Cam sensor replaced. Switch checked. Getting fuel. No spark. 03 Dodge Caravan I'll get it.
icebrrg3rd Posted October 9, 2012 #34 Posted October 9, 2012 Dan, not sure on this site's rules for posting links to other sites, but I have a 2000 Grand Caravan and I find a lot of info over at chryslerminivan dot net. Good info over there, might help a bit as they're more into Caravans than here. -Andrew
Yammer Dan Posted October 9, 2012 Author #35 Posted October 9, 2012 Hard site to get around on for new members. Seems everything listed has been covered. Inept mechanic checking switch?? Crank sensor supposedly replaced. Can sensor supposedly replaced. Computer reprogramed. I'm running out of ideas and taking this mechanics word for the things he is supposed to have done. I know. BIG Mistake. The thing is far enough away to make this a pain. I don't get my truck back til its fixed!! Cranks but no spark. I'm taking someone elses word for this.... Must be time for a trip.
