Yammer Dan Posted September 27, 2012 #1 Posted September 27, 2012 Anyone had any luck with the mechanic sites that want money up front before answering questions? I don't like using credit card without something I'm sure will work. Give me wrong answer and charge me anyway??
Marcarl Posted September 27, 2012 #2 Posted September 27, 2012 I never have had much luck, they usually give you the answer you already have. I would have more luck on this site. And yes, you are out the money whether the answer is right or not,,,,, hey, you have an answer right???

SilvrT Posted September 27, 2012 #4 Posted September 27, 2012 Anyone had any luck with the mechanic sites that want money up front before answering questions? I don't like using credit card without something I'm sure will work. Give me wrong answer and charge me anyway?? I don't have a "site" but I do guarantee your money back if you don't like my answer to your question so, my PayPal is mnewor@kkyetr.com.co.uk .... just send $1,000 and upon receipt of that I will answer your question.
etcswjoe Posted September 27, 2012 #5 Posted September 27, 2012 You have enough motor heads on here that I think someone could answer your question and no I would never pay for "online" advice about a car problem.
cecdoo Posted September 27, 2012 #6 Posted September 27, 2012 Tried Ask.com once on an auto problem, answer was wrong, Dont think I would waste my $$$$ again. Craig
Marcarl Posted September 27, 2012 #7 Posted September 27, 2012 What's your problem Dan,,,, fire away, least we can do is get it wrong,,,, maybe even argue over who is wronger. Come on, give us something to do.
SilvrT Posted September 27, 2012 #9 Posted September 27, 2012 I think he wants to know if he can make a cage out of all his 1st gen's ...
Marcarl Posted September 27, 2012 #10 Posted September 27, 2012 I think he wants to know if he can make a cage out of all his 1st gen's ... maybe have enough wheels already, enough motors to make a 16 cyl. 20 speed tranny. Don't give him any ideas,, that garage is already full.
reddevilmedic Posted September 27, 2012 #11 Posted September 27, 2012 the answer is......SEAFOAM. send money.....
Ozlander Posted September 27, 2012 #12 Posted September 27, 2012 the answer is......SEAFOAM. send money..... No! No! No! Ya gotta sync the carbs.
Flyinfool Posted September 27, 2012 #13 Posted September 27, 2012 No! No! No! Ya gotta sync the carbs. That ain't it at all. Seal it up in a bag of uncooked rice for a month.
dingy Posted September 27, 2012 #14 Posted September 27, 2012 I talked to Yammer, he is looking for muffler bearing grease. Gary
oldgoat Posted September 27, 2012 #15 Posted September 27, 2012 i think he wants to know where to put the blinker fluid?
Yamamike Posted September 27, 2012 #16 Posted September 27, 2012 That brings up one of my pet peeves...you'd think the parts store would put muffler grease and blinker fluid at least sort of in the same area but nooooooooooooo. Ya have to look all over that dang place usually find blinker fluid with the rubber hose benders or something. Sheesh! Is this what's called highjacking a thread:o)
Trader Posted September 28, 2012 #17 Posted September 28, 2012 Hey Dan! How'd you do when you paid for contractor work in advance?
Marcarl Posted September 28, 2012 #18 Posted September 28, 2012 I talked to Yammer, he is looking for muffler bearing grease. Gary No wonder he's having problems, only Saabs have that extra.
pmelah Posted September 28, 2012 #19 Posted September 28, 2012 i think he wants to know where to put the blinker fluid? Thats easy In the slot where you put the gas its a dual purpose slot you put the blinker fluid in after or is it befor the gas and as for the mufler bearing grease that goes on the fan blades up front that is also dual purpose... Dan dont waste your money they only give answers you alredy know anything more than that they tell you to take it to your local ASE Certified me8hanic and let them diognose it for you waste of money:080402gudl_prv: now ask your question we may have the answer
ragtop69gs Posted September 28, 2012 #20 Posted September 28, 2012 Blinker fluid goes in the glove box, right under the 8 Track tape player that will be standard equipment on the 2014 RSV.
pmelah Posted September 28, 2012 #21 Posted September 28, 2012 Blinker fluid goes in the glove box, right under the 8 Track tape player that will be standard equipment on the 2014 RSV. well i dont have one of those 3rd gen autos only a 1st and 2nd gen :rotf:
wrenchrob Posted September 28, 2012 #22 Posted September 28, 2012 So Dan, Hope we answered your questions ok and your automobile is up and running again. That was the easiest fix ever.
bongobobny Posted September 28, 2012 #23 Posted September 28, 2012 PS you owe us each for our information...
Marcarl Posted September 28, 2012 #24 Posted September 28, 2012 PS you owe us each for our information... Not to worry your head off Dan on how you can pay us all. I am the self appointed treasurer and will handle all the monies owing, so all you need to do is send it to me and I will make sure it gets dealt with promptly.
dingy Posted September 29, 2012 #25 Posted September 29, 2012 Wonder whats up with the old man from WV? He posted a plea for help, and 24 hours later hasn't been back on the sight. Hope he didn't give this online company his credit card number, various personal information and other forms of ID. Oh wait, Dan would never do that again after the garage fiasco that lasted for near a 1000 post thread where he paid upfront to a guy with a sign taped to a 74 chevy pickup. Maybe Warden yanked his internet privileges for asking for the credit card to order that muffler bearing grease. She is called the Warden for a reason. Dan maybe like that etrade commercial where the baby got sent for a time out to his crib with no computer or smart phone. Something about riding the dog like a pony. Gary
