farm1810 Posted September 23, 2012 #1 Posted September 23, 2012 My rear tire has worn out, no big deal there. However, on the edges beyond the almost bald center the remaining tread has a patter worn with the leading edge of the tread being higher than the trailing edge. I noticed that I was getting noise in cornering that got louder as the tire wore down. Overall, not a big deal but I am wondering if this is an indication that my rear shock is starting to misbehave. I see no signs of leakage and with 40 psi in the shock, the bike handles okay. Any advice would be appreciated. R.
GeorgeS Posted September 25, 2012 #2 Posted September 25, 2012 Dunlop, E-3 series tires, front and rear !!
djh3 Posted September 25, 2012 #3 Posted September 25, 2012 Thats what happened with my E3. Sounds pretty typical of higher milage Dunlap E3 and simular tread pattern tires. Nothing to be concerned with the "feather" looking wear pattern. If it had scallops or cupping going on I'd be concerned. I just mounted up a couple of Michelin Commander II to try them out. All the reviews I read were pretty good from wear to handeling.
