Cougar Posted September 21, 2012 #1 Posted September 21, 2012 (edited) Sharing my new bling, just put them on. Chuck AKA (Slowrollwv) is making them now next door on the other site. I think he has 5 more sets made. Outstanding work on these carb covers and REALLY HARD to find anymore these days. Comes with all the hardware and sell for $ 85.00 shipped. Here are a couple pics Before and After. ragtop69gs Posted September 21, 2012 #3 Posted September 21, 2012 Just got mine in the mail today. Can't wait to get them on mama's trike!
bongobobny Posted September 23, 2012 #5 Posted September 23, 2012 Now if we could just find someone to make the twinkie covers...
Cougar Posted September 23, 2012 Author #7 Posted September 23, 2012 I bet Larry could make twinkie covers
Carbon_One Posted September 23, 2012 #8 Posted September 23, 2012 Saw the covers Chuck (Slow Roll) makes and gotta say they're 1st class and well worth the asking price. Good job Chuck. Bob what's the twinkie covers? Larry
bongobobny Posted September 23, 2012 #9 Posted September 23, 2012 The twinkie covers, for you that have never seen them, are the discontinued chrome v shaped covers that go over the ends of the breather or "twinkie" that sets on top of the engine between the front and rear heads below the carbs. The pictures in the thread show the twinkie below the choke knob. Several members have them and I'm searching for a pair for myself...
Cougar Posted September 23, 2012 Author #10 Posted September 23, 2012 :shock3:Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh:shock3: We have to have some of those for sure !!
Cougar Posted September 23, 2012 Author #11 Posted September 23, 2012 However, If Chuck ever comes to this thread.I think future choke side cover should be cut just a tad higher so if a person has a chrome choke knob it will not rest on it. otherwise it does still move in and out. but it rubs. not sure if over time it will rub the chrome off. Jeff
ragtop69gs Posted September 23, 2012 #12 Posted September 23, 2012 I suggested to Chuck that he make the twinkie covers too, we'll see.
ragtop69gs Posted September 23, 2012 #14 Posted September 23, 2012 I have a set on my bike, they could be used for a template. I do need a set for the trike.
mraf Posted September 24, 2012 #15 Posted September 24, 2012 Now if we could just find someone to make the twinkie covers... Next you guys will be wanting chrome to cover up your HO-HOs.:rotfl:
slowrollwv Posted September 24, 2012 #16 Posted September 24, 2012 Hi all and thanks for the compliments on the carb covers. Jeff I will make that change on the next run I make. As for the "Twinkie covers" I have been thinking about them but do not have a set to work off of to get them started. I will contact a friend in Tn. to see if he can send me the info on them.
