Glitter for the old gal...

Hi eveyone!

 

As I stare at the poor girl in the garage, I can't wait for the weather to get better and get in the saddle again! Meanwhile I figured I would shop and by her some diamonds :mo money:but there does not seem to be much out there.

 

Got myself a JPcycles catalogue and there's lots of nice stuff...problem is not much seems to fit the old gal anymore! Anywhere out there that still has chrome accessories, wheels, etc...that can still be added on? Or should I be looking at stuff perhaps for the Goldwing that would fit her?

 

Any online links...maybe it's me but Google only gives me some batteries, brakes, etc...but no glitter.

 

I'm also looking to replace the seat. Nothing is wrong with it but I want a nicer one. Any suggestions?

thanks yammer...but I'm on eBay 24/7 and there's not much new chrome available for the bike, mostly NOS or used parts.

 

Anyone have a web site like jpcycles that actually has stuff or a bike that has alot that would fit on this the first gen?

ebay, keep looking, there's nothing and then all of a sudden that's all there is. Don't jump on something to fast, make sure it's in good condition, there should be lots of fish in that sea yet.

I don't think we are talking about the same thing. I'm looking for new chrome mags, engine covers, floor boards and most of all right now a brand new seat.

 

Anyone know where I can buy a brand new seat that I can pick out? And please don;t say eBay! LOL!

I'm not sure if you are looking for a new OEM seat or aftermarket. There are still aftermarket seats available.

I just bought a new Corbin seat and it is wonderful to sit on and surprisingly increased the handling of the bike for various reasons. The website is easy to use and if you have difficulty deciding on color just give them a call and they will send you leather samples of any color you might want. They keep actual factory moulds (over 5,000) so I will bet they can go back a long ways. You can see my seat on my venture in my phot gallery.

1st gen chrome is hard to find and if it's in good shape you will pay top dollar for it. Ebay is the only place that I know of that consistantly has 1st gen parts On a 1st gen you have to be creative and fabricate your own stuff.

OK thanks squidley! I really love my bike but the upkeep is as much as owning a BMW! Great old bike...but it's OLD! I put in a new windshield this summer now I need new mufflers and I don't like my seat. We have the motorcycle show this February in town...I hate to say it but maybe it's time to look at a Royale Star Venture and let go of the Venture Royale!
