Under "Additional Features":

  • Single-point audio control system for AM/FM radio, cassette, and intercom is MP3-compatible and headset-ready. The system also includes a Star-branded iPod touch (8GB) with an iSimple SolutionsTM audio interface by AAMP of America.

If you look under features you will see the cassette listed. Someone on here posted a while back that they called on Yamaha USA and were told about the changes to the venture. I replied that it would be interesting to see if what they said was right when the 2013 was introduced. I can't find that thread. Does anyone remember what that thread might had been titiled? If I remember correctly, and I might not, they said there wasn't going to be a 2013 yamaha but the 2014 would be upgraded.

But it does have a low fuel warning light! My '99 does not. Now that's progress!

    Absolutely Hilarious!

I have never seen a company more out of touch with their customers desires.

What they're saying is, "we hear what you're saying, but here, take the same outdated product and pay more for it and be happy".

Check out the V Star 1300 Deluxe, factory fairing with GPS, XM Radio, Bluetooth, built in, and hard bags. Now that is a nice bike.

Just for giggles and grins I called. Asked if Yammy monitors the forums, reply was yes they do. Asked if they realize they are loosing market share. I let them know that I test rode a Kawasaki Voyager, liked it and if I was to buy a new bike, that would be it. Especially since it's about $2500 LESS than the Venture. They said that they found out the Venture had not changed when we did. Yamaha is very tight lipped. They log and submit the calls, but it won't do any good. But if you want to vent, i posted the number in my previous post.

    A Cassette!!!!.....Still???!!!

    REALLY?

That is going above and beyond unbelievable...the the point of incredulous!

Perhaps when we call Yamaha we should ask them if they know where we can buy cassettes!!!

I am really just amazed and dumbfounded.

I give up!! I've been looking almost daily here and on the Star site for over a year.

If Yamaha wants to still put out a 1999 product then it should be at 1999 prices! A cassette!?!? Really the joke isn't even funny anymore it's just sad. I'm looking to buy another tourer in the spring hopefully and won't even be on my list to look at!!!

If the company can't respond to it's most loyal customers then I need to find another company.

But I do love me some VentureRider
